A British man has undergone brain surgery following a horrific road accident whilst on holiday in Germany
A British holidaymaker has undergone brain surgery in Germany following his involvement in a horrific road traffic accident. The man, who was on the first day of his holiday, was struck by a vehicle in the town of Leipzig, Germany.
Many people would find being involved in a road traffic accident of any severity quite a daunting prospect, especially when the accident occurs abroad as in this tragic case.
As the height of the holiday season approachs however British tourists holidaying abroad can be reassured that should they find themselevs in a situation such as this, the 4th European Motor Directive allows a claim for compensation for personal injury to be purused in the UK via a UK insurer, if the accident took place within Europe.
The time limits for bringing such a claim however can vary from country to country and therefore our receommendation to any injuried party would be to seek advice on the matter without delay.
