British Man Injured in Moped Accident Abroad

A British man suffers serious injuries following a moped accident in Crete

A British man was knocked off his moped in Malia, Crete, breaking his leg and ribs.  The man also suffered facial injuries and burns when the moped caught fire.  He is now being treated in a Greek hospital under EU regulations.  Sadly, he cannot afford to be flown home for treatment in the UK because he had no travel insurance.

It is very important to check before hiring a moped on holiday whether or not your travel insurance covers you to use it.   British tourists can now claim compensation in the UK for personal injuries sustained in an accident whilst on holiday in Europe.

As the time limit for bringing such a claim can vary from country to country we would recommend that any injured party should seek advice on the matter without delay.

If you have suffered an accident, loss or injury whilst on holiday call our solicitors on 0800 328 5313 to discuss if you could claim for compensation.
